Mouse Trapper was specifically designed for users who have multi-monitor machines. The application keeps the mouse cursor “trapped” on one monitor. Thus, you always know where the mouse is. If you need to move the mouse to another monitor, you can “let it out of the trap” by using one of three available hotkeys.

The installation file is 6.2MB in size. When you run said file, a setup wizard shows up and takes you through all the steps you need to take in order to install Mouse Trapper on your Windows-powered machine. Once the installation completes, you will be asked to launch Mouse Trapper and to check out the Mouse Trapper manual (a PDF file).

The application's interface looks like a mouse holding up a sign. On this sign the application’s settings are displayed: start with Windows, start in tray (minimized), track number of crossings, select the hotkey for letting the mouse pointer cross screens, Passage Creator, Cursor Locator, Send to Tray, and Close.

When you launch Mouse Trapper, the application presents a bit of info about itself. Then it invites you to purchase a license. And after that it displays the interface mentioned in the paragraph above.

You can let the mouse move across screens by using one of three available hotkeys: Shift, Ctrl, or Escape.

The Passage Creator and the Cursor Locator functions are not available. When you click them you are presented with a prompt that invites you to upgrade to the Pro version. The aforementioned Pro version comes with a few additional features: snap windows against all monitor edges, choose what monitors have restricted cursor, and find the cursor.

Make sure the mouse cursor stays on a certain screen by using Mouse Trapper.

Pros

Getting Mouse Trapper up and running takes little time and effort. The interface is rather cute. Set Mouse Trapper to launch at startup. Let the mouse move to another screen by using a hotkey.

Cons

The unregistered version does not allow you to access certain functions.
